How to Find and Compare Schools on SMS Naija

Choosing the right school for your child is a big decision, and SMS Naija's national directory makes it easier to compare your options in one place. Search by state, LGA, ownership type (public or private), or school name, and filter by institution category — Primary/Secondary is the default view, with Tertiary, Vocational, Tech, and Virtual School institutions a filter away. Each listing shows what the institution has chosen to share: programmes, curriculum, location, and contact details. Where SMS Naija has explicitly verified a claim — like an accreditation — that's marked directly on the listing, so you know what's been checked versus what's institution-provided information. Once you've found a school you're interested in, many accept online applications directly through the platform, so you can apply without a single physical form.
