How SMS Naija Verifies Institutions

Trust matters in an education directory. When a parent sees a school listed on SMS Naija, they should be able to trust that it's a real, registered institution. Every institution that registers must provide a valid CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) number along with accurate contact and ownership details. Our team performs a manual review during onboarding, and where a specific claim — like an accreditation or affiliation — has been explicitly checked, it's marked verified directly on the listing. Providing false registration information is a serious breach of our Terms and can result in suspension. If you ever spot something that looks inaccurate or misleading on a listing, we want to know — report it and our team will review it promptly. This verification process is what makes SMS Naija more than just a list of names — it's a directory parents can actually rely on.
