Why Virtual Schools Are Growing on SMS Naija

Virtual Schools are one of the fastest-growing institution categories on SMS Naija — and it's not hard to see why. They remove the biggest barriers to teaching: no physical classroom needed, no geographic limit on who can enroll, and a genuinely low cost to get started. For creators, it's a way to turn expertise — technical skills, professional training, exam prep, hobbies — into structured, sellable courses without building payment infrastructure or a video hosting platform from scratch. For learners, it means access to instruction they might never have found locally, at a price the creator sets, with progress that's genuinely tracked rather than just "watch whenever." As more educators and trainers discover how simple it is to launch a Virtual School, this category keeps growing — and the range of what's teachable keeps expanding with it.
